Revised job registration obligation as of 2020
From 1 January 2020, the threshold value for types of occupation subject to registration pursuant to Article 53a of the Employment Services Ordinance will be lowered to the unemployment rate of 5 percent.
The list of professions (PDF, 52 kB, 07.11.2019) specifies which professions are subject to registration from 1 January to 31 December 2020.
Here is the list of jobs that must be reported to the RAV before they are advertised directly by the employer.

The Swiss Professional Nomenclature 2000 (SBN 2000) has been fundamentally revised by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (SFSO) in cooperation with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the industry associations with a view to lowering the threshold for the obligation to report jobs as of 1 January 2020. The Swiss professional nomenclature CH-ISCO-19 now forms the basis for determining the professions subject to reporting requirements.
What is job registration requirement?
On 8 December 2017, the Federal Council agreed on how to implement the Act for Implementing the Article of the Constitution for Managing Immigration (Art. 121a of the Federal Constitution) at ordinance level.
